Healthcare/EHR and FHIR Integration Services
EHR and FHIR integration services
An EHR software development company that connects your systems to the wider health ecosystem, built to HL7 and FHIR standards.
EHR and FHIR integration is the work of connecting electronic health record systems to apps, labs, pharmacies, payers and analytics, so patient data can move securely and be used. Noseberry is an EHR software development company that builds and integrates to HL7 and FHIR standards, including Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner) and athenahealth integrations, HL7 v2 to FHIR transformation, SMART on FHIR apps, and the Patient Access, Provider Access and Payer-to-Payer APIs required by CMS-0057-F. Having a FHIR API available is not the same as being able to integrate, normalise and operationalise the data, and that gap is exactly what we close.
What are EHR and FHIR integration services?
EHR and FHIR integration services connect electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems with other software, using standards such as HL7 and FHIR, so patient data flows securely between apps, labs, pharmacies, payers and analytics tools.
FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is the modern standard for exchanging healthcare data through APIs. Most US health-IT products now expose a certified FHIR API, but an available API does not automatically make data usable. The value is in mapping, normalising and operationalising that data inside real clinical and business workflows.

CMS-0057-F: the 2027 deadline that makes this urgent
CMS-0057-F requires impacted US payers, including Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and ACA plans, to build production FHIR APIs, with core requirements due by January 1, 2027. This is non-discretionary work: affected organisations have to build Patient Access, Provider Access, Payer-to-Payer and Prior Authorization APIs on a fixed clock.
We help payers and their partners implement and test these APIs to the Da Vinci implementation guides.

EHR and FHIR integration, answered.
HL7 v2 is the older messaging standard still widely used between hospital systems. FHIR is the modern, API-based standard for exchanging healthcare data. Many integrations involve transforming HL7 v2 messages into FHIR so data works with modern apps.
Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner) and athenahealth, plus labs, pharmacies and devices, all to HL7 and FHIR standards.
It depends on scope and the systems involved. A focused integration can take weeks; multi-system or CMS-0057-F programmes are phased over months. We scope it precisely on a first call.
SMART on FHIR is a standard that lets apps launch securely inside an EHR and access data with the right permissions, so you can add functionality without leaving the clinician's workflow.
It requires impacted US payers to build FHIR APIs for Patient Access, Provider Access, Payer-to-Payer and Prior Authorization, with core requirements due by January 1, 2027.
