Project Introduction

Cook’s Love, a new venture in the restaurant and cloud kitchen space, approached us with the goal of creating a brand identity that would convey their unique selling proposition: serving food that is always hot, fresh, and made with love. As a startup, they required a logo and branding elements that would stand out both in physical spaces and on digital platforms. Our objective was to design a logo that not only reflected the warmth and passion behind Cook’s Love but also resonated with the “hot and fresh” concept essential to their brand.

Competitive Analysis

To understand how successful brands in the restaurant and cloud kitchen industry communicate freshness and warmth, we conducted competitive research:

  • Research Platforms: Google and Pinterest were our primary resources for exploring popular logo elements in the food industry.
  • Key Observations: We found that many restaurant logos rely on familiar elements like flames, steam, utensils, or symbols of heat to convey a “hot and fresh” feel. Additionally, vibrant colors like red, yellow, and orange were common, as these hues are associated with warmth and appetite.

Key Insights and Design Direction

Based on our findings, we established the following visual direction:

  1. Cooking & Love Concept: We decided to integrate elements from the brand name, “Cook’s Love.” We explored using a frying pan to represent cooking, fire for heat and freshness, and a heart symbol to represent love.
  2. Color Selection: Drawing from industry standards and emotional impact, we chose red as the primary brand color to symbolize warmth, passion, and an inviting atmosphere. Supporting colors in darker shades of brown and soft neutrals were selected to add depth and contrast.
